They do it well my plants in the bathroom.
Not all of them survive-the Aloha Mimosa from Kauaii died and if the Bromelia ever makes a new flower is a secret!
But the picked plants from the Botanical Garden are a real success!

vanilla silk dress
...
years I was wearing nearly only black
now I like more colours, especially colours in between and mixing in strange combinations
I thrifted in Paris some very nice pieces like the vanilla dress.
The shape caught my eyes first:
kimono like upper part
open back
full skirt, nearly 5m lenght on the hem
the dress is from the late 40ies beginning of the 50ies
fine silk completly worked on silkorganza with a light corsetlike upperpart
the complet beauty of this dress is only visible when wearing it in sunlight and turn around, around and around
will wear it with the african bead ring

Wire basket flowers
...
"Gmüeschrättli"
How can I call this wire basket precisly? In french it is a "Maillinox".
Found today a dubbledecker with flap. With browsing in the internet I found out that it is actually for fishing. Besides collecting I could maybe get a new hobby!
Best storage for dry vegetables!

white handbag
...
I'm proud of my first completly designed and crafted white handbag.
It's a small one.
It took me around 16 houres of work, so there is a reason why the womens most loved accessory is sometimes so expensive.

back for eastern

My camera is repaired
I'm back from Ljubljana in Antwerp county
My balcony completly exploded
and I have a lot of new wooden spoons and co.
The cutting board is slovenian walnut, bought at the market in Ljubljana from the craftmen itself. I liked the irregular shape.
The spoons are oliveoil and teak.
I learned how to treat wooden objects the best:
use warm olive oil to polish them with a soft napkin, the wood takes the oil better when it is warm
use walnutoil for cutting boards

Ljubljana
...
Ljubliana with some sunshine, the Alps so close.
A hotel room with balcony and where it's still permitted to smoke: so we are definitly closer to the Balkan then to Austria-I like that!
The Taxidriver was making a real conversation with jokes about his wife and everything.
I like the south, I like the east.
Went yesterday to one of the Bars in Zurich, where I used to work 5 years ago. Xenix-again a spot which got hipper then hip. But 5 years ago I never met a guy on Friday night with a tie still close to his throat in this bar and they serve as well Hendrix Gin. Zurich definitly changed!

Diy-string garden
...
Here the tutorial for a string garden, like it is also featured in "My green city".
In the 10 days I was in Paris my balcony exploded. For the ones living in Belgium, next sunday it is again "Plantendag" in Kalmthout. I can really recommand it-all the plants I bought there do it extremly good.

Photobreak
...
We are overloaded with photos and I'm so used to take pictures from everything that pays my attention, load it up in the internet and hope to share it with others.
I have to take a break-the only reason: my camera is broke and had to be sent to the canondoctor.
I take the time to take pictures with the Polaroid and the Diana, but I can't load them up, so my blog stays with text alone for a while.
...
Our nice, not cheap hotel in Paris was for over 12 hours without electricity. Means candles, no internet, no coffee in the morning, no shower, no elevator, no telephones, no check-out, no bills.
This morning I said for the 100 time to myself to take less with me in my suitcase, cause I had to carry my very heavy suitcase down the stairs from the 6th floor without light!

still overexposed
...
Ok, my camera works only at night, with artifical light, and also not really to my satisfaction!
So, no pics from this beautiful weather here in Paris and all the new nice spots I found.
But I will make a little guide if I'm back home and have a new camera!

Paris overexposed
...
I'm lost without my camera. She fell on the floor and is broken, I thought.
But-after a day of break I tryed it out again, and she is working again.
So my trip is saved.

Shea butter
...
The adress I had from here.
A very tiny shop with 100% natural Africa!
I use the shea butter to make the paint for the performance. I'm lucky with my hotelroom with kitchenette.
The smell is very natural-actually it stinks a bit.
Blanket is Batik dyed, very beautiful.
...
On the way to Hama Bazar there is a parc-nice.

Dansk furniture
...
My first glimpse in the windows of the shop made my heartbeat break for a second. I mean I already knew it, but they have so beautiful pieces. But I know as well that their prieces are not that beautiful.
I thrifted a similar stool 2 weeks ago, let's say a bad copy of it.
One of the next days I just walk inside and try at least to sit for some seconds on these expensive pieces of furniture!
