A huge collection of antique cookbooks in the thrift store in Zurich.
I spent hours to look at them. The illustrations, covers, advertisments and descriptions were amazing.

Perfecto fine&raw

Since a while I was looking for a perfect leather jacket.
It had to be small, fitting tight, smooth leather and this attitude of raw and sexy.
What else could be better then the classic Perfecto. The Jacket of Marlon Brando and James Dean, the classic style of the fifties.
And it's a trend! One day after I bought it in Brooklyn there was an article in the NYTimes about Schott. Lady Gaga has one as well.

To make the look perfect and just because I like the shape, I thrifted an old swedish leather holster.
I'm a girl, realized after taking the picture, that I put the holster on the wrong side of the belt. Not really handy to take the gun fast!

The chocolat is made in Brooklyn and cost a fortune: $9! Just bought it for the illustration.

Long time ago my last post but I'm so busy with work in Switzerland and my computer didn't work well. Here the photos of a childrens book from the fifties about "Pitschi", the cat who is searching for his identity. Pipa the fantastic cat who leaves back in Amsterdam and a window from an artist atelier in Zurich.

This is Darwin. One of my recent ebay founds. It's the wood monkey from Kay Bojesen for Rosendahl Denmark.
Darwin hangs on a picture from a Zurich based illustrator Naomi Baldauf with a very nice papercollection.

Switzerland is calling. I go tomorrow for one week to Switzerland. Really looking forward to see family and friends. And I will pick up my favorite childrens books, illustrated by Alois Carigiet. Nearly every swiss child grew up with them. They first were published in 1945!
They are still so beautiful and I always get a bit homesick when I look at them.
